Statement Of Faith

As a servant of the LORD and His people, I believe my responsibility drives my desire to know Christ and be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. I have not been affiliated with a denominational church or ministry, nor am I opposed to denominations as such, only to their over-emphasis on doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ. Here is a summary of my approach to ministry.

I believe the Bible is inspired by God in its entirety and is without error in the original manuscripts. It is a complete and final written revelation and testimony from God about His own nature, character, attributes, purposes, and promises. (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:21)

I believe there is only one God, who is uniquely eternally self-existing, self-sustaining, immutable, and manifests Himself in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30)

I believe that all humanity is lost and born with a sinful nature, and that every sinner is seen by God as worthy of condemnation from the moment of conception. Only a Biblical faith in the death and resurrection of our LORD Jesus Christ can save us from the eternal consequences of sin, death, and hell, not any human merit or performance. (John 3:16-19, John 5:24, Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5)

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and the Christ, the Messiah of Israel. That Jesus is God in the flesh (John 1:1, 14). That Jesus is the way that ALL of the Father’s eternally unconditional promises have been fulfilled, and will be in the future, especially those concerning eternal blessings and curses. (John 1:36-42)

Jesus is the Son of God and Messiah, who came into the world through the miracle of a virgin birth to protect His deity (Isaiah 7:14), lived a perfect, holy, and sinless life to fulfill all righteousness (Hebrews 4:15, Hebrews 7:26), and died a physical death to fully satisfy the Father's wrath against sin (1 Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9), thereby offering forgiveness of sins by grace through faith in this testimony. Jesus experienced a physical death, then bodily rose from the dead on the third day, as prophesied (John 2:19), and appeared in person to many witnesses before ascending publicly to the right hand of the Father, where He now intercedes for those who believe in this testimony (Mark 16:19, Acts 7:56, 1 Timothy 2:5).

I believe in a real and literal devil as described in scripture, called Satan, who, along with all his fallen angels, totaling one-third of all angels, currently operate as demons and evil spirits. Though they can and do affect our world with darkness and evil, they are destined to spend eternity in the lake of fire. They currently work to deceive the world, defeat believers, and destroy the work of God, but are not equal to God in power, wisdom, or authority. They can be resisted by believers who are protected by God through the Holy Spirit and the intercession of Jesus Christ. (Genesis 3:1, Job 1:6-12, Matthew 4:1-11, Luke 22:31-32, 1 John 4:4, Revelation 20:10)

I believe that heaven is a real place where those who have been saved from sin, death, and hell will dwell forever, and that hell is a literal place of torment where non-believers will suffer forever with full consciousness. (John 14:1-3, Revelation 20:11-15, Revelation 21:8, Revelation 22:5)

I believe that genuine believers are born again by the Holy Spirit of God and are filled with the Holy Spirit by His indwelling at the moment of salvation, baptized into the body of Christ, the true church. The Holy Spirit is a seal and guarantee of salvation, thus making it impossible to be separated from the love of Jesus Christ and the eternal blessings He promises to His children. (John 3:1-6, Acts 1:4-5, Romans 8:35-39, Ephesians 1:13-14)

I believe that true Christians need to be filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live a godly life and to be both bold and humble in our witness for the LORD. Serving God’s eternal and spiritual purposes requires eternal and spiritual help! (Romans 8:13-14, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30, Ephesians 5:18)

I believe that the spiritual unity of all genuine believers in Jesus Christ is manifested by the spiritual gifts entrusted to His servants, and the fruit of the Holy Spirit’s presence through His love. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 5:22-23, Ephesians 4:8-12)

I believe that the nation of Israel has a special place in God’s plan, and that all of the promises of God to Israel WILL be fulfilled both now and in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ in His millennium. (Genesis 12:3, Psalm 122:1)

I believe that the human race was created as male and female by a direct act of God to fully reveal His image. There are no other genders according to God’s creation. (Genesis 1:26-28)

I believe marriage is a sacred covenantal union between a biological man and a biological woman that limits sexual relations to monogamous, heterosexual marriage. Attempts to create marriage unions outside of these clear Biblical descriptions and ordinances are contrary to the Word of God and are sin before Him. (Genesis 2:24, Romans 1:21-27)
